Middle Eastern Film Festival, also known as MEFFNYC, won last year’s PIA for the extraordinary change it has made and continues to make of perception of the Middle Eastern Community. My friend Al Nazemian is the curator who started the project by doing a version of it for live theater. With the success of the first project Al is making the transition to film. I am proud to have worked with him on both projects.
